Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a unique form of physical activity using movements and exercises which are excellent for your health; aiding the practitioner to gain greater aerobic and anaerobic capabilities, better muscle tone and lower percentage of body fat. All while you learn the best form of self defense.
Most importantly, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training affects the practitioner psychologically. It leads to an increase in self-esteem and a sense of empowerment, often causing the student to have a more positive and peaceful outlook in life.

A typical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class is usually 75 minutes long and begins with a light warm up followed by stretching. The students are then paired up and given the opportunity to practice the techniques and positions while the coach supervises. Toward the end of the class, the students will 'spar' or wrestle with each other to utilize the techniques learned.
